Shalom!
The biblical Feast of Weeks (Exodus 34:22) is called Shavuot in Hebrew and is also known as Pentecost. It is celebrated fifty days after Passover. Jewish people today recognize Shavuot as the day God gave Moses the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai.
But Shavuot also has meaning for believers in Jesus. In the New Testament, Pentecost was the day when God gave the Holy Spirit to the first disciples.
In the following lessons, discover how Shavuot points to both the giving of God’s commandments and the giving of His Spirit, fulfilling the promise Jesus made to His disciples.
