If you have a heart for Israel and the Jewish people, and if you have a desire to share your faith, then Shalom Philly may be a significant opportunity for you to realize God’s great evangelical purpose for your life!

In the summer, believers from a wide variety of backgrounds will gather in the Philadelphia area to proclaim the Gospel of the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) to our beloved Jewish people!  About 250,000 Jewish people live in the Greater Philadelphia area, and they desperately need to hear the Good News.

Shalom Philly will feature a full week-long missions’ trip with many opportunities for evangelism, training, and worship.  In addition to working in the heart of Philadelphia, teams will also travel to some strategic suburban Jewish communities as well as evangelistic outreach at the Jersey shore!

Our Shalom Philly evangelistic outreach will also include educational and cultural programs designed to help you learn more about Jewish people as well as the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.  And, you can learn how to effectively and appropriately put this knowledge into practical application to touch and reach people’s hearts.  You can share the Messiah with Jewish people!

About Shalom Philly

After 2,000 years, God’s gospel power and priority have not changed! Believing in the gospel of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah saves people’s souls. There is no other name (Acts 4:12), and there is no other way (John 14:6) by which a person can be made right with God.

As a result, there is nothing more important than getting the message of His salvation to a spiritually needy world. And God, in the counsel of His will, has determined that wherever and whenever this message is proclaimed, it is also to be presented to the Jewish people.

That is what Shalom Philly is all about. We honor the biblical mandate of proclaiming the Jewish gospel to all people—Jew and Gentile alike!  If you love to share your faith in Yeshua, care about the well-being of the Jewish people, and want to honor the Lord by helping in the Great Commission, then we would love to team up with you this summer on the streets of Philadelphia.

Aside from our usual street ministry, cutting-edge trainings, public evangelism and follow up, Shalom Philly will also feature special evening outreach events, evangelism at the Jersey beaches, community service opportunities, additional outreach to the Orthodox and Russian Jewish communities, Messianic worship, and Jewish cultural-day excursions and experiences.

Two thousand years have passed, but God’s message has not.  Join us as we share the Gospel of Yeshua with His beloved people!

A young student from NYU came up to the table asking if the information would help him with emotional struggles in his life due to serious medical problems and surgery he recently had.  We were able to share that the God of peace can reveal Himself through Isaiah 53 as explained in the book he was holding.

As I was passing out tracts was amazing, a bus driver got off the bus and came up to me and said, “Hey, where did you come from?”  I laughed as I handed him a brochure.  He said, “What are you doing out here?”  I began to explain to him about Jesus.  He said, “Wow, so amazing.  God bless you.  I wish I had more time” as he hurried off back to the bus.

“I handed an “I Found Shalom” tract to a 30-year-old Israeli man who said, “I am looking for shalom.” I said, “I have found shalom…. Bill and I were able to share our testimonies and also how God loved us enough to sacrifice His only Son, Yeshua, the spotless Lamb once and for all, for our sins.”

I had been talking to Mr. Luis for a few minutes…Suddenly he speaks up, ”Now I have Jewish friends, and you’re saying that this is for them?”  Bingo!  If nothing else, I hope that I have represented to Luis that God cares for the Jews, His people.  That God has a plan extending far into history which He has not given up on.  Yes, believing in Jesus is very Jewish.
