You will explore and trek through much of the country, experiencing both urban and rural settings – from the major cities that are always in the news to the incredible hills and mountains of the Galilee. Outreach Israel offers excellent opportunities to share your faith in genuine and practical ways and to encourage Israeli youth who are part of congregations in the Land. This trip includes ministry activities such as beach and café outreach, youth work, and service projects, all while discovering Israel and visiting historic Biblical sites. You will meet some very interesting and dynamic people, and you will also become very aware of their need for Messiah.
To ease the intensity of ministering in Israel, the team will meet for times of Bible study and prayer as well as being encouraged to journal and reflect on things seen and done. You will live in the close community, “kibbutz-style.” There will be some time spent studying Hebrew, but the language barrier will not be an obstacle, as Israelis love practicing their English!
The memories and ministry you will experience in such a “dry and thirsty land” will be enough to tug on your heart and sense of adventure for years to come. Bring your love and enthusiasm for the people of Israel and use your gifts and talents to help awaken the presence of Messiah in the Land where He lived!

The places we will explore:
Jerusalem is a city in the Middle East, located on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Eilat is a southern Israeli port and resort town on the Red Sea, near Jordan. Its beaches are noted for their calm waters, like Dolphin Reef, where the aquatic mammals are often spotted. Known for snorkeling and diving, Coral Beach Nature Reserve has buoy-marked underwater trails among fish-filled reefs. Nearby Coral World Underwater Observatory Marine Park has a glass-enclosed observation center submerged offshore.
The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River. Its surface and shores are 430.5 metres below sea level, Earth’s lowest elevation on land.
Masada is an ancient fortress in southern Israel’s Judean Desert. It’s on a massive plateau overlooking the Dead Sea. A cable car and a long, winding path climb up to the fortifications, built around 30 B.C. Among the ruins are King Herod’s Palace, which sprawls over 3 rock terraces, and a Roman-style bathhouse with mosaic floors. The Masada Museum has archaeological exhibits and recreations of historical scenes.
Tel Aviv, a city on Israel’s Mediterranean coast, is marked by stark 1930s Bauhaus buildings, thousands of which are clustered in the White City architectural area. Museums include Beit Hatfutsot, whose multimedia exhibits illustrate the history of Jewish communities worldwide. The Eretz Israel Museum covers the country’s archaeology, folklore and crafts, and features an on-site excavation of 12th-century-B.C. ruins.
The Sea of Galilee, Lake Tiberias, Kinneret or Kinnereth, is a freshwater lake in Israel. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second-lowest lake in the world, at levels between 215 metres and 209 metres below sea level. It is approximately 53 km in circumference, about 21 km long, and 13 km wide.
