Purim

Have you ever counseled someone who is going through a horrific ordeal and then hesitate when they ask the question “Where is God?  I don’t see him in the midst of all of this!”  Is there a place where we can turn to in the Bible to find answers to questions like this?

This winter, representatives from Chosen People Ministries will be sharing the powerful story of Esther and the Jewish holiday Purim.

• The book of Esther deals with a time of great difficulty where Jewish people were outside of their land, people sought to destroy them, and God is conspicuously absent (at least by name).
• Purim will show God’s faithfulness to His promises even when it seems He is absent.
• Your church will be encouraged to stand by faith even in the face of overwhelming opposition.
