Fifty years later . . . she said yes to Jesus
Marcia* had been married to a Gentile believer in Jesus for 50 years. Although she attended church with him throughout their marriage, she had never given a thought to the gospel story or a commitment to Jesus. For Marcia, church was more about the friendships she and her husband had there. She was still just Jewish.
When her husband passed away, Marcia continued going to church. It is where she had community and activities. Our representative came to church one day to present our Messiah in the Passover demonstration, and Marcia was one of the first to greet him beforehand, letting him know she was Jewish and had a good handle on any lessons he might have.
But then, when the presentation began, she was drawn into the talk in ways she never expected! What our speaker said about the symbolism of the Passover Seder and how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies revealed in the Passover . . . it was astounding and eye-opening.
Fifty years after she married a Christian Gentile, Marcia found herself receiving Jesus as her Messiah too! Thank you for helping show Marcia the truth about her faith.

He fit the profile . . . and he was tired of it
Jake’s* father was a drug dealer—one of the largest in the United States. Growing up, Jake had been drawn into the illicit trade, too, but then he saw the error of his ways and made a break from the family business.
But no one believed it, and Jake was repeatedly profiled by people on both sides of the law.
He was a delivery driver for FedEx, and while on one of his deliveries, he met a Bible teacher on his route. The two began talking about forgiveness and what the Bible says about it—and Jake complained how tired he was of being profiled by people who did not even know him!
His new friend said, “I’m a Jewish man. My people have been profiled for 2,000 years. I understand the frustration.”
Suddenly, Jake realized why he had connected with this Bible teacher! “I knew there was a reason I was drawn you!” Jake said, revealing the Star of David tattoo on his shoulder. The Bible teacher was a Chosen People Ministries worker, who introduced Jake to the Messiah that very day!

Even more than grandma and grandpa? Yes!
Lisa* accepted her friend Kathy’s invitation to our Messiah in the Passover luncheon at church. She had been to so many Passover Seders at the home of her bubbe and zeyde (Yiddish for grandmother and grandfather), she thought she probably already knew everything there was to know about the ceremony.
But when the luncheon began, she quickly realized how little she knew! She heard the words and saw the symbolic actions year after year—but she never understood what they meant. From Messiah in the Passover she learned, first, what each prayer and each part of the meal represented for the chosen people.
Along with this, she learned how the Jewish Messiah, Jesus, is reflected each step of the way through the Passover. She was astonished—and thrilled—she even told the speaker she learned more from him about Passover than she learned from her grandparents!
She eagerly received a copy of a Messianic Passover Haggadah and a copy of Isaiah 53 Explained from Chosen People Ministries too. We are praying she will soon come to know the Messiah for herself—and maybe share Him with her bubbe and zeyde, too.
