I want to introduce you to Ela,* an Israeli girl that your prayer and support is helping reach with the Gospel. Ela grew up in a religious family in Israel, but after her army service, she no longer considers herself to be religious. She does, however, believe that there is a God even though she is unsure who He is. During her time with us, we talked about faith and what it mans for a Jewish person to believe in Jesus. She was so intrigued by what we believe that she decided to lengthen her stay with us! It was such an amazing opportunity for us to talk with her more about the Gospel in Isaiah 53 and live out what we believe before her eyes. You can tell that her time at the Zula Lodge has impacted her by what she wrote in our guestbook:
Right at the first moment when I arrived to the Zula I felt at home. Something in me just calmed down. I didn’t know yet how this place will soon become a real home for me. The first place I felt like this after six months of travels and this is not just because the Zula facilities are so amazing (even though they really are). It is because of the special family that you are. Thanks for not only opening your house for me and including me in all your daily routine, but more than that, opening your hearts and really letting me feel that I belong in the most natural and generous way.
These days with you were a unique opportunity to learn and get to know a different way to live life on this world… Thanks for making me ask questions and having the patience to answer them too. You are without a doubt a big and meaningful part of my trip around the world, and from my life journey.
Thank you for being that. I hope God will bless you everywhere you will go and everywhere you stay. You are the soul of the Zula. You are making this house to be what it is to us travelers.
Thank you for praying for Israelis like Ela! In a very real way, you are the soul of this guesthouse ministry and you are making this ministry be what it is to these Israeli travelers through your prayer and support. Ela definitely experienced the love of Jesus through this ministry, and I am grateful that you are a part of sharing God’s love with Israelis like Ela! I continue to pray that God will open Ela’s eyes to see that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.
To God be the glory,
Stephen A

Chosen People Ministries exists to pray for, evangelize, disciple, and serve Jewish people everywhere and to help fellow believers do the same. The mission was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1894 by Rabbi Leopold Cohn, a Hungarian Jewish immigrant with a zeal to share the knowledge of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah with God’s chosen people.
