Explore the connection between the Feast of Tabernacles and Jesus
Shalom! Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as Sukkot in Hebrew. We hope this short lesson plan will help you understand more about this ancient and important Jewish holiday and help you see how it points to Jesus. He is the One who became flesh and tabernacled, or lived, among us (John 1:14). May you be blessed as you pass this lesson along to your children.
Here is how you can use these resources:
- Provide to your congregants to use at home and show to their children or grandchildren
- Encourage the families in your congregation to also use the additional materials and enjoy the crafts and other tools to learn more about their Jewish heritage in Christ
- Pass along to the children’s workers at your church or congregation to use for Sunday School, Children’s Church, or some other program for kids
- Encourage families to spend time with their children and grandchildren praying for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and for the salvation of their Jewish friends and relatives
