Kevin McGhee, Converge Director of US Engagement
Kevin left a successful career as an officer in the United States Navy to enter full-time ministry. After seminary, he became the founding pastor of Bethany Community Church in Maryland. Over the next three decades, he would not only lead Bethany but also spearhead a number of community impact initiatives—rallying pastors and churches for kingdom causes. After 32 years of leading the church he loved, Kevin joined the senior leadership team of Converge as the Director of US Engagement. The department that he leads is helping churches across the United States focus on the center of the Great Commission bullseye—asking God to launch a gospel movement among the least-reached peoples of the world in our generation. The Jewish people are among them! Converge is one of the most effective church-planting movements in America. Kevin has been married to Ann since 1981. The McGhees have two amazing daughters who are both active in ministry in Sydney, Australia.
Ann McGhee, Converge Trainer
Ann is passionate about seeing followers of Jesus fully equipped to know Him and make Him known. Over the past 37 years, Ann has enjoyed serving on the pastoral staff of three churches and as a professor at two seminaries and a Bible college. Her life has been invested in growing disciple-makers and equipping people for ministry. Currently, Ann serves as an Affiliate Faculty at Sioux Falls Seminary, equipping leaders for ministry through online, competency-based theological education.
As Director of Training for Converge International Ministries, Ann serves on the Mobilization Team, using her gifts and working together with the leadership teams and missiologists to develop the overall training processes for Converge IM workers and training to equip Converge IM global workers for their specific ministries around the world. Ann has enjoyed being married to Kevin since 1981. Kevin serves as the Director of the US Engagement Team for Converge IM.
