It has been one year since terrorists attacked Israel, indiscriminately slaughtering over 1,200 civilians and taking over 250 people hostage—men and women, elderly Holocaust survivors, and children as young as nine months old. Israel had to respond to this existential threat at their border. Shockingly, this has sparked a year of worldwide protest and antisemitism the likes of which we have not seen since the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party.
When Jewish people suffer, Satan rejoices, God is heartbroken, and the world is thrown into chaos and confusion. As believers in Yeshua, we are not confused. Israel is in trouble. Her people are struggling with sadness, fear, anger, and pain. We are called to “weep with those who weep” (Romans 12:15) and to comfort those with the comfort which we ourselves have received from the Father of mercies and the Messiah Jesus, the Prince of Peace (1 Corinthians 1:3–5; Isaiah 9:6, 7).
Therefore, we invite you to join us for our Remembering October 7 memorial event.
A solemn and heartfelt gathering sponsored by Chosen People Ministries, the Alliance for the Peace of Jerusalem, and the Coalition Against Antisemitism, this event will be a time of reflection and remembrance, commemorating the lives of those who were lost.
Join us as we stand with the Jewish community in honoring those who have suffered and are still suffering from this horrendous attack.
Our event will include:
- A memorial candle lighting
- Recitation of the Kaddish (traditional Jewish prayer said when in mourning)
- Reading of the names of the hostages
- Testimonial videos with stories from Israel
- Messages of comfort and hope for Israel
