Paul wrote that the gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16). The whole world needs to hear that Jesus is the Messiah, but this message begins with His own people, Israel. Chosen People Ministries is committed to following God’s mission priority. We believe that blessing the Jewish people with the good news of Messiah leads to blessing for all the earth (Romans 11:11–15).
Jewish people are historically resistant to the gospel. This is due to the negative history between Jews and Christians. But these can all be overcome by His love!
The pandemic disrupted our usual evangelistic methods, which rely upon person-to-person outreach. But we do not believe the pandemic will last forever, and we are ready NOW to get back to the basics. It is time to return to proclaiming the gospel to individuals.
We are going back to the basics with Foundations ’22. In 2022, Chosen People Ministries will continue the tried-and-true strategy we have used for 128 years—prioritizing personal evangelism, discipleship, and training. Our efforts will focus on sharing the gospel in person and one on one with Jewish people. Many of the people we meet are those who responded to our online digital outreach through social media. As people come to faith, we will disciple them and equip them for ministry as well.
Foundations ’22
- Direct evangelism—our staff will meet with Jewish people to share about Messiah on a personal level.
- Discipling—we will help new believers grow through follow-up, Bible study, and planting them in a messianic congregation or church.
- Training—we will train these believers through our new online Chosen People Bible Institute. Some may also go on to study at our Charles L. Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies.
What you can do
God can use you to help transform the lives of Jewish people in 2022 by supporting Foundations ’22. This year, we plan to especially focus on reaching Jewish people who are traditionally “hard-to-reach,” like younger nonreligious Israelis, Jewish urbanites, and ultra-religious Jewish people in the greater New York area, Israel, and around the globe.
When you give to Foundations ’22, you become part of the team of faithful followers of Jesus making Jewish people jealous with the gospel (Romans 11:11). We are confident that Foundations ’22 will yield fruit as you pray and support our global efforts to reach the remnant of Jewish people to whom God is preparing to reveal Yeshua as the Messiah (Romans 11:5).
