An Israeli drill sergeant—and the hope of Messiah!
Alexei* served in the Israeli Defense Forces, and the commander who guided him through two years of compulsory service has remained a friend, even though he lives in Israel to this day, and Alexei now works as a Chosen People Ministries missionary.
So, it was a surprise when the commander sent a text message asking Alexei about his faith in Jesus!
“I didn’t know exactly what he was asking, so I arranged to call him later,” Alexei said. When they connected on the phone, they spoke for 2 hours—and Alexei was able to deliver the truth about Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, and how He fulfills all the prophecies and is the Savior.
“He acknowledged intellectually that Yeshua is the Messiah and the one the prophecies talk about,” Alexei reports. They prayed together, and “now we are on the path to help him receive Yeshua into his heart and change him forever.”
Thanks for supporting Chosen People Ministries as we share the good news about the Jewish Messiah, Jesus, heart to heart.

Summer camp is back! And lives are being changed!
Last year, summer camp was canceled due to COVID-19. In the Los Angeles area, kids who had been looking forward to “Camp Kesher West,” presented by Chosen People Ministries, were terribly disappointed—
But they were thrilled to learn camp would take place this summer! The organizers had hoped at least thirty children would sign up . . . and ended up with a total of fifty-two young campers, including a Russian Jewish boy who was invited by a friend from the local Messianic congregation.
This boy had never heard about Jesus before, and he was intrigued by what he learned at camp! When his friend could not answer all his questions, he took him to a camp counselor, who explained to him about Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah.
Our team reports, “Afterward, the counselor asked him if he wanted to follow Jesus. He said yes! That night, at our campfire, several more children prayed to follow Jesus, and many more made decisions to dedicate their lives to Him.”
Thanks for helping to reach out to Jewish children with the gospel message!
“I came to life as if someone poured living water on me…”
It seemed like summer ministry in Israel might be tricky this year: because of COVID-19 restrictions, far fewer Israelis traveled outside the country than during regular holidays, so local families had booked up many campsites and event spaces. Lack of space forced our teams to focus on smaller gatherings, which turned out to be a powerful way to minister!
One especially moving event was a four-day retreat for Holocaust survivors at a resort on the Sea of Galilee. The goal was to give them rest and fellowship with God and each other, and it worked wonderfully! Each day—morning and evening—the group gathered for two-hour meetings to listen to the Word of God, sing, chat, and pray. Invariably, even after the two hours, no one wanted to leave, and the meetings continued.
Almost all the attendees requested prayer, and one, who is eighty-six years old and in recent years has been seriously ill, told our team: “I was like a dry tree, but on this trip, thanks to you and God, I came to life, as if someone poured living water on me and I began to blossom again. Thank you.”
These words of gratitude are extended to you, too, for helping to make this and other events possible for Jewish people in Israel.
A life-changing phone call
Judy* was the only Jewish follower of Jesus in her family—in her whole community!
Now, her sister was asking her about Jesus. Judy wanted to be able to share the truth with her, but she was very new to the faith herself and had no one to guide her.
Thankfully, a friend told her about Chosen People Ministries, and Judy, who lives in Canada, placed a call to our Canadian headquarters. She was so encouraged to be able to discuss the Scriptures—and we also helped her get connected to a Messianic congregation meeting online!
Now, she does not feel alone, and she has been able to tell her sister about Jesus, too. Her sister is considering placing her faith in Christ as well! Thank you for being there for Judy—and her sister—through Chosen People Ministries.

Join us for 9/11 and the New Middle East: a conference in partnership with Alliance for the Peace of Jerusalem.
We cannot think about what happened on 9/11 without thinking of the ways in which Israel remains vulnerable to the very same terrorism as that which was perpetrated on September 11. Chosen People Ministries exists to tell Jewish people about Jesus, whose Hebrew name is Yeshua, the true hope of Israel and the light of the world, so we are honored to co-sponsor this historic conference. You are invited. The conference, called 9/11 and the New Middle East, will take place Friday evening and Saturday, September 10–11. You may attend online or in person at Trinity Baptist Church, 250 East 61st Street, New York, NY 10065. The conference is free to attend but we do ask you to register in advance, whether you are joining us in person or online. Click the link to register or to get more information, including FAQ’s and hotels in the area.
