You might live in the middle of a Jewish community or in the middle of the heartland with no Jewish neighbors for a hundred miles. Maybe your best friend in college was Jewish or the only interaction you’ve had was watching a Jewish actor on TV. Maybe you visited Israel and fell in love with the land and its people or, you haven’t, and visiting Israel would be a dream come true.

No matter where you live, who you know, or what you do, one thing is true: Israel and the Jewish people have played a huge role in world history and are still an important part of God’s plan. They have given so much to the world: blessings, scripture, prophecy, the Ten Commandments, and more. But the greatest gift they have given the world is Jesus!

After all, God chose this tiny people group to bring salvation to the whole world—through Messiah Jesus! If it weren’t for the Jewish people, we would not have a relationship with the Father as we have it today.

“Jesus is the most important Jew that has ever lived,
to whom the sinner and the outcast age after age,
have owed a great debt of gratitude.”
(Dr. Claude Montefiore, Former President of the Jewish Religious Union)

Jesus’ last earthly instructions were: “you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). We should always be very good at doing the latter—absolutely!—but are we leaving the former undone?

For most of us nowadays, this is probably not a deliberate decision but rather an unintended consequence of our daily practices. How many of us can rejoice that not only do we have mission projects or missionaries in faraway countries, but also have an active missionary presence and mission priority among the Jewish people?

God’s heart still breaks for His people!

Let us heed Jesus’ words, return the favor, play the role that God wants us to play, and reach His people with the good news of their Messiah, the Light of the World, Immanuel, the Prince of Peace—Salvation (Yeshua) Himself!

“I am not ashamed of the gospel,
for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes,
to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

“For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world,
what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” (Romans 11:15)

This coming January, your congregation—together with congregations all over the USA and around the globe—has the opportunity to participate in “PRIORITY1:16 – Making God’s Priority Ours” and recommit to sharing the gospel with the Jewish people in our neighborhoods, across our nations, and around our world.

We call it “PRIORITY1:16” because of Romans 1:16. We make this resolution because January is about new beginnings and fresh starts.  The first month for the first priority.

Finally, if the temporary Jewish failure to recognize Messiah brought spiritual well-being for Gentiles, “how much more will their fulfillment be! . . . what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” (Romans 11:12, 15b).

How can your church be involved?

  1. Host a CPM missionary to speak about ministry among Jewish people one Sunday in January, and receive a love offering for Jewish evangelism.
  2. Share a message yourself in the pulpit, using one of our available sermon outlines, and receive a love offering for Jewish evangelism.
  3. Share one or more of our mini-video-shorts in your church services during the month of January, and receive a special love offering one Sunday.
  4. Teach an adult Sunday School lesson “To the Jew First” using our available outline, and receive a special love offering for Jewish evangelism.

As a special “thank you” for participating in “PRIORITY1:16 – Making God’s Priority Ours” we will send you a complimentary book bundle with four must-have and encouraging volumes about Jewish evangelism and God’s heart for Israel.

Just let us know how you want to participate, and we will provide the people and the assets to make that happen!

What Christian Leaders Are Saying

“I am writing to encourage you to prayerfully consider inviting a representative of Chosen People Ministries to speak to your congregation . . . on God’s love for Israel and the Jewish people, and the importance of training, equipping, and mobilizing evangelicals to share the gospel in a compelling way with Jewish people.

“I have worked on numerous conferences and Jewish evangelism projects with Chosen People Ministries over the years, and I have seen the Lord use this ministry to effectively touch the hearts of leaders and lay people with the biblical case for reaching the Jewish people with the love of our Lord.

“We believe we are heading toward a ‘Romans 11:26 world’ in which ‘all Israel will be saved.’ Chosen People Ministries continues to proclaim the good news through Jesus the Messiah to Jewish people around the world.

“My hope is that you will invite them to come and invest some time with you and the sheep under your care. I believe you will see good fruit as a result.”

Joel C. Rosenberg

Best-Selling Author, Founder of the Joshua Fund

“It has been my privilege to work closely with Chosen People Ministries. . . . I encourage you to receive Mitch or any of Chosen People’s gifted missionaries in any and every way you can, for these must be the days of the Jewish harvest that the Apostle Paul spoke of in Romans 9–11.

“God bless you as you are led by the Holy Spirit to invest your prayers and resources in what God had announced as His plan of action ever since the days of the biblical patriarchs. Careful readers of the Word of God are cognizant of the blessing God has promised on those who bless Israel (Genesis 12:2–3).”

Walter Kaiser

President Emeritus, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary

“Over the years, I have worked with Dr. Mitch Glaser and his staff in various ministry settings with Chosen People Ministries. They share the gospel and their heart for the Jewish people to come to salvation in an effective manner. I would highly recommend this ministry to you and know your church will be blessed and encouraged by their time with you.”

Dr. Erwin Lutzer

Former Senior Pastor of The Moody Church and now Pastor Emeritus, Award-Winning Author, Celebrated Speaker

“It is my privilege and pleasure to commend Chosen People Ministries. . . . [They are] absolutely committed to reaching the Jewish people with the gospel of Yeshua HaMashiach, both here at home and throughout the world. . . . Chosen People Ministries is engaged in strategic ministry.

“I have worked closely with Chosen People Ministries and its president, Dr. Mitch Glaser, on several projects. I have been particularly impressed with the integrity of Mitch and his staff. They are fueled by a genuine love for the Jewish people. This passion drives the ministry and underlies every decision that is made.

“We are living in momentous, dangerous times. Chosen People Ministries is facing the challenge, right out there on the front lines. You can trust Mitch and his team. They have a passion to proclaim the gospel, to the Jew first, and they do that with integrity and excellence. I am honored to be part of their team.”

Robert B. Chisholm, Jr.

Chair and Professor of Old Testament Studies, Dallas Theological Seminary

“Chosen People Ministries leaves few stones unturned in reaching Jewish people for Christ, and in inspiring Gentiles to enlarge their hearts to minister to Jewish people.  I have been incredibly blessed to have known Dr. Mitch Glaser for years and to have seen God use his ministry to reach people of every age and background.”

Pastor Lloyd Pulley

Senior Pastor at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge

“As President of Biola University, I am profoundly grateful for the relationship between our two organizations—which is deep and vibrant and lasting! Biola’s founders more than 111 years ago recognized the importance of Israel in our biblical convictions, and they emphasized Jewish studies and evangelism to Jewish communities from those early days . . . . [O]ur joint effort in Brooklyn, the Charles L. Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies, bears the name of our former dean of our Talbot School of Theology, Dr. Charles Feinberg, himself a Messianic Jewish believer.

“Chosen People Ministries has a powerful story to tell, with an impact now running for a century and a quarter: a legacy of gospel witness to the Jewish people. What a remarkable mission you have at Chosen People Ministries, holding firm to the words of the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans, who said, ‘For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.’

“So, we join you in claiming the hope and promise of Scripture, aligning our hearts with God’s heart to draw all people—including the Jewish people—to Himself. In obedience, we at Biola join you in proclaiming the Messiah. . .  . May God’s blessings be upon Chosen People Ministries!”
