Pray for Israel!
The nation of Israel was reborn on May 14, 1948. This date corresponds to the fifth of Iyar on the Hebrew calendar, an Israeli national holiday. Every year, Israelis celebrate their heritage and homeland, overjoyed because the Jewish community has a haven in a hostile world.
Unfortunately, the tragic aftermath of Black Saturday has overshadowed this year’s day of celebration.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched the largest and most brutal assault against Jewish life since the Holocaust. Israel responded with a military campaign to rescue the hostages Hamas kidnapped and stop the existential threat Hamas poses.
Since then, Hamas and Hezbollah have continued to fire rockets into Israel and threaten Israel’s safety. Hamas’ use of human shields in Gaza has also placed Palestinians in jeopardy and caused tragic loss of life. Meanwhile, antisemitism has skyrocketed worldwide.
Many minimize, downplay, and even deny the atrocities Hamas unleashed on October 7. Tens of thousands are voicing their support for Hamas, who openly desires to slaughter Jewish people. The friends of Israel must speak up now. We hope you will join us in committing to support and pray for Israel as it defends itself against its many enemies.
